Have you ever read the book Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day? Well, yesterday it was re-written as Anna's terrible, horrible, no good, very very very bad day! It started about 4 o'clock as I was leaving work. I got pulled over for "running a red light" that was yellow when I went under it but I guessed turned very fast. That's another story for a different day. I was ill over it but had moved on thinking it would give me the energy to run my frustrations out on the treadmill. I was driving down the interstate and out of no where a rock flew up and hit in the middle of my windshield and cracked it! I'm not talking about a small crack or a little dent to the window that I could live with. It was across my windsheild about 12-14 inches long!!!
At this point I busted into tears and had to turn around in the parking lot of the gym and go home crying! I called my stepdad and of course he had good advice and told me that it could be fixed, my mom just laughed and said "Only stuff like this happens to you Anna". Once Graysen walked in the door I couldn't stop crying until he said he would take me to dinner at Crackel Barrel, my favorite! He always knows the way to my heart! We talked to our insurance company and they can't do anything about it because I have a $500 deductible...so I'm paying $325 to get a new windsheild put in as I type! I have not even made the first car payment yet and I'm already dishing out money. Maybe this is God's way of telling me I should have been thankful when I had the Saturn or it could be my bad luck coming out to haunt me! Who knows, I just pray today is better than yesterday!
I couldn't even take a picture of my cracked windsheild to post on here, it just made me cry when I looked at it! ONE good thing about it was it gave me a good excuse not to workout! :)

"Laaawww, haaaaawww mercy" as Maudie would say. I am so sorry. That's not fun. $325 is a bummer. Roger would have plasticed the window for you for cheaper. ha haa I know it's not funny. The other day, Sanna and I were talking about a car Nanny Ree used to have. The window was out with plastic over it, you had to use a coat hanger to start it, and the horn honked everytime you turned the corner. Nice. So, at least your car is worth fixing! Bless your heart. A day like that totally calls for retail therapy. We went to Lennox Square yesterday--so maybe I retail therapied for you! Sorry---as my friend told someone else who'd had a hard day like Alexander: There are terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days--even in Australia.
