Love Story-Part I

Our Happily Ever After didn't start the moment we met each other like some do. It took a little while for it to all fall into place. I wanted to share how it all began...

Graysen and I met during the Spring of 2004. My sister, Amy, who is 2 years younger than me actually introduced us. Amy and Graysen were out on a date, well kinda. They met through mutual friends and decided to hang out a few times. I remember running into them eating at O'Charleys one Sunday afternoon. I was eating with the boyfriend at the time and his family. I walked up to their table to introduce myself and mainly to check out Amy's date so I could report back to my Mom about him.

I got about 5 feet from their table and fell into their booth. My heel slipped on the floor and I was very lucky I didn't end up on my face! We all laughed and joked about my gracefulness. I remember leaving and thinking Graysen seemed like such a nice guy ( very cute too), not Amy's type at all. That was there one and only date, they remained friends and Amy went on to break more hearts, many more hearts.

Graysen and I ran into each other November 16, 2005, that date will always be engraved in my mind.My friends Emily and Andrea dragged me out on a random Wednesday night. I wasn't much for going out at that time in my life and especially not on a week night. I remember it so vividly, I was wearing a white t-shirt from GAP and my glasses, literally I was in bed already when they drug me out of our apartment. Graysen was in a striped sweater and standing against the wall. Andrea knew Graysen from college and several mutual friends they had. We started to chat about how we had met once before and laughed about the songs that were playing over the speakers. I was hoping that he was going to ask for my number, he didn't that night. He later told me he didn't think I was interested and didn't know if I would go out with him since he has gone out with my sister before.

A week later I received a message on Myspace. We chatted back and forth through messages for a little bit until he finally got courage to ask for my number and call and ask me out. We went to lunch at Panera on a Wednesday. He thought a lunch date would be better just in case it was going well he could end it fast is what he likes to say now but I think he just wanted to go out as soon as possible because he already knew how great it was going to be.

We talked non stop for the next few days and that Saturday night went out to dinner and as he says," It was the best date he's ever been on". I just remember that he didn't have enough cash to pay for the parking machine and the man behind us gave him a dollar. We went out the next night and the night after that and have been together ever since!

This is the first picture we took together, December 2005. We went to dinner with some of my friends and then went to hear a band play.

I love this story. I think it's so much more interesting than the typical, "We saw each other from across the room and it was love at first sight" stuff. And OMG. That is so funny that you described him as really cute and funny, which is NOT your sister's type! LOL.
