2nd Trimester Randoms

The sickness is gone. I am feeling much better in this trimester even at 14 weeks! The burst of energy that I've read so much about has not kicked in and I am waiting for that moment to happen any day now!

I haven't felt the baby move yet and am really eager to feel the first little flutter. My belly is poking out a bit more, but I still feel like an impostor in maternity clothes! You know a fat woman trying to look pregnant. I haven't had very many odd cravings. I want vegetables and fruit a lot, I've never been a big meat eater but have been trying to have turkey and chicken for the nutrients. Pickles and gummy bears are some of my favorites, not together though.

I could cry at the drop of a hat. My emotions are on my sleeve right now and I've never been one to cry in front of people unless it's a devastating situation. I cry at commercials and mindless tv shows that are meant to be humorous. We watched Benjamin Button over the weekend and I bawled my eyes out the entire movie, I was crying so hard at the end I thought I was going to make myself sick.

My anxiety has subsided during this pregnancy, for now. I'm still nervous, excited, worried and thrilled all at the same time. Prayer has been my greatest outlet for reassurance along with seeing Baby Ballard on ultrasounds of course. Graysen on the other hand seems to very calm with it all like he is with everything in life. I can sense nervousness sometimes when we talk about changing diapers since he has NEVER done that but he will learn quickly!

Any tips out there for 2nd trimester preggers like me would be welcome! I know some of you are Momma's or soon to be and I love hearing other stories, just not those scary, crazy, only happen once in a blue moon to someone stories.

I think that burst of energy comes when the urge to nest kicks in. I must have been on my hands and knees 3 times a week scrubbing baseboards and bathtubs up until the 8th month. Which is strange because those are the chores I NEVER do.
Feeling the baby move in my belly never got old for me. It was exciting everytime, especially if a loved one was nearby to feel it as well. Emery got the hiccups A LOT while I was pregnant. You'll know it when you feel a very rhythmic twitch in the same place. Seven months later, she still gets them about 3 times a day.

What a blessing that you are feeling better! Praise the Lord! Now we need to pray that you get some of that energy back. :o)

I'm glad you are feeling better! My emotions have been running very high also. That doesn't seem to get better but I would rather have that than be sick or tired constantly. Your energy will pick up I promise. My advice: Stay away from TLC shows about having babies! Some of those scared the crap out of me! And don't read a lot of What to Expect When You're Expecting. Every pregnancy is different. I hope that helped!

I can't believe you are in your second trimester already! we need some belly pics! ;) I agree to not read too much and not watch too much and NEVER google! haha. doing so made me a worried mess. Also, enjoy this time when you have a cute little belly and are still feeling normal(ish)... I loved my second trimester! how long until you find out the gender? not too long, right?
