We has a very busy weekend filled with a date night, a labor and delivery class and a nursery painting project. These days seem to be going by so fast but they are the best!
Friday night Graysen decided we needed to have a date night, he's such a smart husband. We enjoyed a nice dinner out and saw the movie Couples Retreat. Funny movie, not as funny as I had hoped but still lots of good laughs.
We had to wake up early Saturday morning, way too early on a Saturday for me and be at our childbirth class by 9am! I guess 9am won't seem early once Parker gets here and wakes all hours of the night but waking up at 7:30 on a Saturday was tough. The class was informative, it was very detailed about the labor part...too detailed during some parts.
At one point the instructor was discussing the breech position and how that would make you have a c-section etc. I look over at my husband who is laughing to himself. I write on my notepad where I was taking a few helpful hints down and passed it to him. I wrote, "You are the only one laughing!" He wrote back, "I am laughing because I am so smart, I already know all this stuff, it's a joke to me." He'll think joke when I'm screaming and hating him while I'm in labor! I was actually very proud of Graysen, he knew a lot more about babies than I gave him credit for.
There were 12 couples in the class and I thought it was ironic that 8 were having boys, 3 were having girls and 1 was having twins, a boy and a girl. It seems every pregnant person I know is having a boy. We toured the hospital where I'll deliver and it all started to settle that we are really having a baby soon!! (87 days according to my counter at the top of the page.)
After the class we ran some errands and came home to relax and watch football and eat homemade chili, it was my kind of night!
Sunday was our BIG painting project, Parker's nursery. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. Here's a sneak peek.
I still have so much to do! I'll have a lot more pictures to come but for now I'm off to shop for a few must have items for his room.

I cannot wait to see more pictures! And I love browns, greens, and blues together. I am sure it will look great!
Looks great!! Cannot wait for that little bundle of joy to be here! We need to get together SOON!!!
I love brown, green, and blue together. LOVE!
I'm loving what I see so far!
I cant wait to see the finished project! Weekends are the best, especially weekends where you don't have to work, right? The joys of owning our own store. :)
Gosh, I feel like I'm taking things slow! I'm as far along as you are with my baby boy & I've bought NOTHING yet! We just closed on a house the 9th though & construction should hopefully be out by this weekend. I'm ready to start a nursery, but I might be broke after everything with this house, ha! I love the sneak peak of his bedding...where did you get it from? I found a set on Etsy that I really like, but haven't settled yet.
Oh, & my husband wanted me to go see that new scary movie "Paranomal Activity" with him this past weekend & I told him he better re-think that unless he wants me to go into early delivery!
Every pregnant person I know is having a boy too & we just found out my twin sis having a boy too. My baby boy (who we've named Jarrett) has been in the breech position for the last 3 months. GULP.
Take care!
Bon
Anna, that looks so good...I love the colors! Can't wait to see more pictures of Parkers room.
Can't wait to see the rest of his room...I love his little bumper! :)
Looks good so far!
I love the crib bedding! So cute!
Love the laughing hubbie story, our class is in two weeks!!
The bedding is so cute :) Isn't it crazy how time flies...
I know 10 boys being born from September to March. It is so weird. If Amy has a boy I am going to scream. I am ready for a girl! LOL! Boys are taking over!
I love those fun colors you are going to use in his room. Cute!
