Who knew...

that having a baby would leave you with very little time for much else?


I always thought to myself that I would have so much time to so things when Parker was a baby. For some reason I find myself holding him all of the time, singing to him and daydreaming as he sleeps peacefully in my arms.



We have been very busy since he came home last Tuesday. I can't believe tomorrow he will be a week since he's been home. Here's the Proud Daddy carrying our sweet baby out of the hospital.



Parker had his first pediatrician appointment last Thursday and now weighs 5.10 lbs, he left the NICU weighing 5.7 lbs so the Dr. was very happy with his weight gain.


(Almost as happy as I am with the 19 lbs of fluid I've lost! My ankles and hands look normal again, it's amazing!)

We are enjoying this week even more because Graysen is home with us all week! It's so nice to have the extra set of hands to change diapers. Although I don't mind changing diapers at all. I know this time will go by so quickly and I want to remember and enjoy it all. I guess I realize how very blessed we are to have Parker at home because there are still so many babies in the NICU that won't be home for Christmas with their families.

Who knew... that I could love my tiny baby as much as I do!?! And worry, pray and care about him so much!
