8 months

baby p is 8 months old!

(Sock Monkey doesn't stand a chance anymore.)

P is into anything and everything he can get his tiny fingers on. He is crawling like crazy, doing the fast crawl and not just the worm across the floor anymore. He goes straight for the fireplace, cords to the lamps or computers and any outlet on the wall. He pulls himself up and gets so proud that he just accomplished something when we just ohhh and ahhh over it. Needless to say we had to baby proof our home. 

He's in 6-9 month clothes for the most part and can wear some 12 months depending on what brand it is. 

P loves to eat and can chow down on some puffs! I was cleaning his highchair the other night and noticed there was a puff on the edge of his chair, I lifted up the padding to wipe it off and the boy had a stash under his seat of puffs! 

baby P takes really good naps and still needs his morning nap of about 1.5-2 hours and will nap in the afternoon for about 3 hours.  He's been waking up about once a night lately and I think it's all because of teething. He'll eat and go right back to sleep so he might even be having a growth spurt. He has 4 teeth now! 4! Two on the bottom have been there for a few months and the two on the top just broke through about a week ago.  They are driving him crazy and we are constantly giving him teething rings.

P is so funny, he will just babble and ramble on making all kinds of noises and the usual dada, mama, baba! He loves when we clap for him and he claps his hand on ours but hasn’t yet figured out that his two little hands could make that same noise. His laugh is the best thing I have ever heard and he can smile and flash those dimples as soon as someone starts talking to him. 

He does have a bit of a temper though and I’m praying it’s just a stage at this age. If we take something away from him that he is not supposed to have then he pitches a huge fit, he gets over it pretty quickly but it’s still hard on my patience.  He can sit so well on his on so playing in the floor is where we spend a lot of time. Diaper changes and putting clothes on is a wrestling match most days. P loves to be naked and will crawl as fast as he can as soon as I take his diaper off for bath. He still loves bathtime and must be a water baby because the pool is one of his favorite things to get in and splash around on these hot summer days.

baby P you are the best thing that has ever happened to your Daddy and me. We love you to the moon and back and then some. Being a mommy to you has been such a learning experience because you have taught me a love that I have never known until you were born. We love you baby P and are so excited to see what the next month brings as you learn and grow!
