Komen5k: Race for a Cure

I participated in an amazing event this weekend, the Susan G. Komen Race For A Cure with some friends. It was a cloudy day with some rain here and there but that didn't stop the crowd of 10,000+ people from running and walking and cheering each other on to raise money for a great cause. I pray one day (SOON) that there will be a cure of this ugly disease called cancer.

Here's our team before the race: Run Like A Mother!!

My little brother walked it with my parents and mom's friend TJ. Of course he had to get some baby P time in before the race.

My mom(in the pink hat) and her very sweet friend TJ(in the white hat) who flew in from TX to do this walk. TJ's walking in DC in 2 weeks and doing 60 miles in 3 days, which she has done before!! This is amazing because TJ has been through so much this past year with having cancer herself and talking chemo and radiation while still working fulltime.
Her journey is truly an inspiration to me.
