friday was the mr.'s birthday so baby p was off to my parents house for the night while the mr. and i had a real date night. just the two of us, i felt like we were really dating again. we came home and slept all through the night without having a waking baby. we missed our little pumpkin but had a great night out!
saturday was our yardsale, it was a success and i'm so glad it's over. it's also the day baby p had his first trip to the emergency room. i think i was crying harder than him by the time we made it there.
long story short...he likes to push the chairs at the kitchen table area and this time he fell back and the metal chair fell on him. he had a cut and with the blood we couldn't tell if he needed stitches or not. we were also concerned with as hard as he fell back and hit his head on the kitchen tile. we were just going to the pediatric office that's open on the weekend but it was 1pm and this place closed at noon so off to the children's hospital.
p's fine, has a black eye now but he's a very tough little guy. he's all boy for sure and now he's not even really phased by his little shiner. i on the other hand am not ready for these bumps and bruises on my baby boy but i know as he's growing and getting more independent it's going to happen.
we ended saturday night with a cookout at some friends house.

we went to church sunday morning and ran a few errands...not the thing to do when your baby has a bad bruise under his eye because everyone asked what happened making me feel like a guilty momma.
an afternoon nap and playtime at the park was the perfect ending to the weekend.

girl...I am so sorry! I remember the first time ryder went to the er and the nurse looked at me and asked why I was crying??? She said, "come on honey....you are dealing with a boy!" that was the first of 4 times in a year.....yikes! Hopefully P and H will not be so wild. See you soon!
