One of my craft projects last week was making a chalkboard. It was very easy and now I'm addicted to chalkboard paint and want to paint everything I come in contact with. I'm seriously thinking our playroom will soon have a chalk wall.
On to the simple project:
1 mirror that I found in my garage from the old college days: FREE
1 can of white spray paint: $3
1 can of chalkboard spray paint: $6
I took the mirror apart, which was not as simple as I thought it would be because it was really put together well. I spray painted the mirror and let it dry for 24 hours.
The frame was sprayed with white and also dried for 24 hours.
Now it makes the perfect little writing board for my kitchen nook corner. It only costs $9 and I have plenty of white paint and chalkboard paint left for more projects.
