Parker had his first day of school today!
Well kinda, he went to a little summer program at our church where they did a lot of playing, crafts and fun summer activities but this was his official first day.
To say he loved it would be an understatement. He walked in like such a big boy, waving at everyone he passed like he was running for President or something. It does help that this is where we go to church and his preschool classroom is also his sunday school classroom that he is very used to.
His teacher walked him to my car when I went through the carpool line and said he had a great day and went "pee pee in the potty" so no accidents at school. She went to put him in the car and he would not budge he said no that he didn't want to go home, I wanted to cry. I told the director and his teacher standing there that he obviously really enjoyed his day. They said he loved it and did really well. They said to count it as a blessing that he loves it so well and really enjoys going so much that he's not ready to leave when it's time. That truly shows me that these amazing preschool teachers are doing a wonderful job!
Here's a teacher gift I made last minute last night. I love a good simple craft.
I can't wait to see how this little guy with such a big personality grows during this next school year. We were so worried about his speech and talking and he has just blossomed over the last several months, it's awesome to hear him and sometimes I'm wondering why I was worried about him talking in the first place. He cracks us up all of the time with the things he says and does, he's too smart for his own good.
Of course, he's my child, he came home and put on his favorite comfy shirt which he would wear every single day if I would let him and a pair of gym shorts. I love putting on my comfy clothes as soon as we get home from somewhere.
This was from June when he went to summer Mothers Day Out, I feel like he has already changed so much since then. We sure do love this little guy!
