Disclaimer: This might be too graphic for some of you readers. If you don't like the words puke or vomit, sorry!
I've had a bit of a rough morning and not the way I wanted to plan my Saturday.
After sleeping in we went to grab a biscuit at Hardee's and I splurged and got orange juice because I am burnt out on water and caffeine free drinks. Graysen went to pick Oscar up from the boarding place where he has been the last few days. (We went to South Carolina to watch my stepbrother graduate from the Marines, that's another post with a lot of pictures.)
I ran into Hobby Lobby and grabbed a few things I needed for special projects. Then decided to go to Target for a wedding shower gift and a few items I needed. I was feeling kind of blah walking through the aisles but made it out to the car just fine. I was driving down the interstate and all of the sudden I opened my mouth and started throwing up. I was driving and had no clue what to do. I was trying slow down, pull over and open my door all at the same time as I am projecting breakfast all over myself while going 60 mph! I finally got pulled over, finished puking and pulled myself together.
I swung my car into the driveway and ran inside as quickly as I could to get cleaned up. After I cleaned myself up and my car I thought a glass of ginger ale would soothe my stomach. I went to open the can and it fell off the counter and spewed all over the kitchen tile. I busted into tears and Graysen walked in at this point.(Our 1st Anniversary is tomorrow so he was out shopping for that.) I regrouped and realized it was okay and I would feel better soon. I've been curled up on the couch resting since this episode and am starting to feel better.
I'm thankful for the morning sickness. I don't like it but that doesn't mean that I don't like knowing that Baby Ballard is baking healthy in this oven. For some reason I feel sick more in the late afternoon and dinner time but this morning proved me that it can happen anytime. I've learned so far that Baby Ballard does not like cheese calzones or an egg and cheese biscuit. Our next ultrasound is June 16th and I am so eager to see Baby Ballard again and crossing my fingers for no more sickness!

Oh you poor thing! Maybe it would help to keep a bag or big cup or something in the car just in case it ever happened again? Hopefully it won't but it never hurts to be prepared. I'm glad you're starting to feel a little better!
aww! I hope you feel better soon! And Happy Anniversary!!
Sorry your morning was not well! Glad you're feeling better this afternoon!
Sorry girl but I literally cracked up reading about you puking in the car! Getting sick is a good thing though! Your hormones are doing just what they should be doing!
Oh my goodness, the car puke is not fun!
I'm so sorry dear, but it does sound like you've taken the right approach towards your all day sickness!
hang in there, it does get better. I threw up every night (if not twice a night) for 4 months straight....but it is all worth it =) My guess it is a girl, old wives tale, but the legend says you are sicker with girls. Good luck!
oh yeah, buy some of those little blue bags you use for dirty diapers (munchink makes some) and keep some in your purse,...they make the perfect throw up bags! lol I toally remember throwing up a sucker in the car ride home from work, thought I was gonna wreck!
