This is how we started the weekend off. I just keep reminding myself it's a stage at this age. There are no tears just screams when he doesn't get his way.
He cheered up when we went to my parents house, where we spent most of the weekend. P had a blast playing cornhole, swimming in the baby pool and spending time with his Uncles.
We let him get real redneck, ya'll. A baby in a diaper and water shoes in a baby pool. It does not get any better than that on a hot summer day!
My parents cooked all weekend long for us and some of their friends so I decided to make a butterfinger cake Sunday. Oh. My. Sweetness. It was so good but way too much for me (and my thighs). Thankfully, it was eaten up pretty quickly and I didn't bring any home.
A little trip to the park wrapped up our nice weekend. This kid loves to play and it's even better when G has the day off and gets to spend the day with us during the week.
This is how we ended the weekend. With the same screaming toddler. It's just a stage, right?

I love your "redneck" baby in the pool. ha ha! Last week I was holding Asher while pushing the vacuum with the other hand {he LOVES the vac and wants to help} and Drew said that I looked like a redneck woman...except that I was wearing a Polo shirt and pushing an Oreck. HA! :-)
Glad to know I am not the only one with the tantrums! :) Oh lord, hope they stop SOON! Ha! And Had got in WITHOUT a diaper... that might be more redneck! :)
He is precious :) and at least you can say he is consistent!!!
